Dr. Mona Arora is an Assistant Research Professor at the University of Arizona College of Public Health. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Emergency Preparedness, Climate Change, and One Health at the College of Public Health. Her research focuses on building the public health capacity to address "wicked" public health challenges through the development of decision-support tools; enhancing science communication and translation; and integrating a health and equity lens to adaptation planning. Some of her other COVID-19 research areas include understanding and evaluating the health and wellbeing impacts on non-healthcare worker essential personnel, identifying barriers to adherence in recommended public health guidelines, and understanding and evaluating the retail sector’s response to the pandemic.
